Winter Individual College Showcase

Fastpitch Nation's 18th Annual Winter Individual College Showcase, Jan. 16, 2027, at the University of Bridgeport

This event allows softball players an opportunity to display their talents and work directly with college coaches from around the Northeast. EVEN BETTER! COLLEGE COACHES will run this event and work directly with the players through various stations and drills while also evaluating their skills. Yes, players will actually work with the college coaches! Coaches will also talk with the players directly about what it really takes to play college softball. This hybrid format has proven far more effective and rewarding than the format in which coaches simply watch from a distance.

Cost is $200 for a single session or $250 for both sessions.
- Session 1: Pitcher or Catcher
- Session 2: Infielder or Outfielder.
All players will also hit and have their exit velocity measured.
All players and parents will participate in separate Q&A sessions with the college coaches.
This event is open ONLY to high school freshmen to seniors. No middle school players.

Event Schedule

Pitchers and catchers can be dropped off as early as 715am. PARENTS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED INSIDE THE FIELDHOUSE. There is no room for them and no way to keep spectators safe from balls. There is VERY limited space in the lobby of the rec center. There is ample parking next to the fieldhouse. If a parent is the designated warm-up catcher for a pitcher they will only be allowed in the field area to catch and then they must leave the fieldhouse after the warm-up period.

Pitchers and Catchers
7:30 - 8:00 Sign-in pitchers and catchers
8:00 - 8:15 Warm up pitchers and catchers
8:15 - 8:30 Players meet with college coaches before workout
8:30 - 9:45 Pitchers throw their pitches (fastball, change-up, and other pitches)
9:45 - 10:30 Pitchers' defense and Catchers hit.
10:30 - 11:15 Catcher drills: blocking, throwing to bases, and fielding bunts, and Pitchers hit.

11:15-11:30 Coaches meet with Pitchers and Catchers to discuss playing college softball

Pitchers and catchers who will also do the Infield/Outfield section can stay. Those doing pitching or catching ONLY are finished and can depart.

Infielders and Outfielders
12:00 - 12:30 Sign-in Infielders and outfielders (those coming from earlier sessions do not need to sign in again).
12:30 - 1:00 Warm up Infielders and outfielders with each other.
1:00 - 1:15 Players meet with college coaches prior to the workout.
1:15 - 2:15 Infielders' drills and Outfielders hit.

2:15 - 3:15 Outfielders' drills and Infielders hit.

3:15-3:30 Coaches meet with Infielders and Outfielders to discuss playing college softball.
